Here I thought that with Derrick and Nicole running the show things may run on an even keel for the week and 
our heads would stop spinning. Boy was I ever wrong. Zach celebrates his victory over Paola and Nicole is in the DR saying how much she DIDN’T want HOH. Devin is telling anyone who will listen about what was the Bombsquad in hopes that he redirects some targets. In the spirit of bad game play that Devin seems to be perfecting he goes to Derricks and tells him that if Derrick doesn’t put him on the block he is screwed. I have to give props to Derrick for not laughing in his face. Why would Derrick give the guy not one but two chances to pull himself down off the block? The guy is delusional, even Caleb is done with him at this point. At this point Christine comes clean to Nicole about her part in the Bombsquad before she hears it from someone else. Nicole decides that she still needs to trust her. There is so much crazy scrambling going on that my brain can’t even process it. It doesn’t help I’ve been sick all weekend so I haven’t even turned on the feeds to give me a clear picture.
Devin is the prime target this week no matter which HOH wins Battle of The Block. Their only real decision is who to nominate that won’t get angry. Nicole figures that she can put up Amber in a tit for tat move that won’t ruffle too many feathers. Derrick decides that putting Caleb up to separate the two would be a smart move and his second nominations would be a floater Jocasta. Nicole wonders where Paola is when you need a second nomination. Derrick tells Caleb the plan to put up Amber and Caleb actually VOLUNTEERS to go up so he can throw the competition and save his Queen. It also ensures that Derrick remains HOH. Good Lord! I don’t think when the BB Gods came up with this twist that they thought this is how it would turn out. Caleb tells Amber about the plan to throw the competition and Amber tells him that she’d rather he didn’t but Hey, if someone is saying that they are 
willing to stay on the block so you can come down you take that deal. At least I would! Nicole is having a hard time with her last nomination. She is terrified of becoming a target and she talks to Donny about the plan and specifically says it must stay between the two of them. He recommends that she put up Christine which is something Nicole doesn’t want to do. But as usual Donny leaves her with a little nugget of southern smarts and says “Is your buddy your buddy?” Right after leaving the room with Nicole, Donny runs and tells Jocasta the plan which Amber over hears. Donny! What are you doing? You are going to end up making yourself a HUGE target! Of course Amber tells the HOH’s right away sealing Donny’s fate with Nicole. What do you think of this crazy plan to throw a competition? If I were Nicole I’d be down with the plan but I would want to reverse the nominations so that I stay HOH. Who wants to be dethroned and risk having the plan be revealed and possibly getting you a replacement nomination after the veto? Didn’t last week teach them that anything can happen after a Veto ceremony?
There are no surprises at the nomination ceremony for us anyways. The editing this season really isn’t keeping anything a surprise. Nicole nominates first and she picks Amber (because Amber nominated her) and Donny (saying that it was last-minute and she heard some “information” that led her to the decision). Derrick nominates Jocasta (saying people think she is floater and he wants her to prove them wrong) and Caleb (he lets everyone know that Caleb volunteered for this). Jocasta and Donny are a little surprised by the nominations and Devin is livid. He rises from the table and mutters “Sometimes the back door is the only door” Well yes Devin no one in their right mind is going to give you two chances at taking yourself off the block. To do that would be even worse game play then what you display. He recovers quickly and starts to suck up to Derrick saying he understands why he’s doing it and no hard feelings in that threatening way only Devin can pull off. Only Devin would be trying to kiss ass by standing over top of the HOH and talking down to him. I am just glad that Derrick isn’t a push over and while he plays nice to Devin’s face because no one wants to anger The Hulk, inside he is laughing at him. These nominations are a little safe in my opinion but what do you think of them? What would you have done differently?
Team America finally gets their first task! I wish I had been able to sit up and watch feeds this weekend because I’d have loved to watch this play out in real-time. They were charged with starting a rumor that one of this seasons house guests is related to a house guest on any former season. Thank you America for choosing three fans of the show so they can make an educated decision on who should be related to who! They decide to start it off as Paola told Donny that Zach is related to Amanda Zuckerman from Big Brother 15. BRILLIANT! They are from the same area, the have similar physical characteristics and they play similar games. Also so smart to say Paola started it because she isn’t there to defend herself. Now who to tell these rumors too? Donny says to start with the dumbest. They ultimately decide to choose Caleb, Amber and Victoria. They have four days to complete this task. GOOD LUCK TEAM AMERICA! I love this task! What do you guys think of it? Would you have chosen the Zach/Amanda connection?
We finally get to The Battle of the Block competition. I throw out the word competition loosely. It is now down to who can throw a competition without being obvious. Brittany is hosting this Harry Potter themed competition called ABRA-CO-BOB-RA! It’s our first puzzle of the season. We have one runner connected to a pulley and a flier on the other end of the pulley. The runner grabs pieces raising the flier up into the air to the magnetic puzzle board. The runner grabs one piece at a time while the flier is solving the puzzle up in the air. Caleb takes his time while Donny works his butt off. At one point Jocasta looks like she might be getting it together but Caleb and Jocasta do a great job and pretending to lose this challenge and Donny and Amber are taken off the block and Nicole is dethroned. Brittany casts a spell on Nicole and she has disappeared! Where did poor Nicole end up?
